Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to all contracts in which we Julia Jones Ltd (the company) acts as the seller.

Orders

1. All prices quoted are valid for 30 days from date of estimate, after which time they may be altered by the seller without any further notice to the purchaser.

2. Where customers own materials have been used, a sample must be supplied with the order stating the face and top of the fabric, as we cannot be held responsible for fabrics incorrectly applied.

3. The seller reserves the right to charge storage charges for storing goods on the client's behalf.

4. The seller reserves the right to review our prices and terms at any time and therefore these are subject to alteration without notice.

5. The seller cannot be held responsible for any actions or discrepancies that are out of their control.

Production, Delivery & Installation

1. The seller cannot accept responsibility for any damage that we cause due to the working area not being cleared and made safe before we commence installation, or survey of project.

2. The installation charges are based on a clear and safe working environment with access to lighting and mains power supply.  If these conditions are not met, the buyer will be responsible to provide such conditions.  This will be subject to additional charges including site visit charges.

3. The seller cannot be held responsible for the condition of existing fixing surfaces or below.  Additional charges will be incurred if extra work is required due to the state of these existing surfaces.

4. The seller cannot be held responsible for any incurred costs due to not keeping appointments or delivery of goods.

5. The seller shall not be responsible for any defects in respect of goods supplied to the buyer for their own production or installation.

6. The buyer will be responsible if an delivery/installation fails to take place, due to either product size or unable to gain access to the property.  Further attempts to deliver/install will incur an extra charge.

Risk & Title

1. The risk of damage or loss of goods shall pass to the purchaser on delivery of goods, but property of the goods & services shall not pass to the purchaser until payment has been made in full.

2. The seller will not be deemed responsible for relaxation or shrinkage of goods that occur due to the variations in atmospheric conditions, such as humidity and temperature.

3. The seller can only be held responsible for goods and services that have been specified in writing in form of the estimate.

General

1. Warranties - All goods and services that correspond to the specification at time of delivery will be free from defects of materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from date of invoice.

2. The seller reserves the right to mail offers to existing clients unless otherwise stated.

3. The seller reserves the right to change designs, specifications or withdraw products without notice.

4. The seller can not be held responsible for any incurred costs due to defective materials being supplied.  All products supplied need to be examined by the purchaser prior to use.  This is a condition of the sale.  The seller will refund or replace any of the defective goods supplied.

5. The seller can not be held responsible for colour shading variations between product batches.

Payment

1. No estimated orders will be accepted unless confirmed in writing by the purchaser, along with a 50% deposit.

2. The balance must be paid on delivery or completion of the installation, such payments to be made to the installers.

3. For contract division account holders all invoices must be paid within 30 days of invoice.

4. After 30 days from completion date the seller reserve the right to charge interest on the outstanding balance at 21/2 % above HSBC base rate.

5. If the purchaser fails to make payment by the due date, then without prejudice the seller is entitled to cancel or suspend the contract of any other delivery of goods or services to the purchaser.

Returns

1. No orders may be cancelled or changed after acceptance of order.

2. Items held in stock can only be exchanged or a credit note issued within 7 days of purchase.

3. No refunds or exchanges given on goods purchased at sale prices.

4. Credit notes issued are valid for 6 months only.
